Terms of Service

A few simple but important agreements before you use Mochi — please take a minute.

1. About these terms

By downloading, installing or using Mochi, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. What you can do with Mochi

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use Mochi on your own devices for personal companionship and fun — desktop pet, AI generation, chat and more.

3. About the photos you upload

  • Only upload your own pet, or a pet you have permission for;
  • don't upload content others own, or anything private, illegal or improper;
  • you're responsible for any dispute arising from what you upload.

4. About AI-generated content

The pet visuals, clips, stickers and chat text Mochi generates are for your personal companionship and sharing. Please don't redistribute them commercially, resell them, or use them to impersonate real people or organizations.

5. Payment & entitlements

  • Purchases are one-time, valid forever, tied to your account, with no auto-renewal;
  • the price is the same wherever you buy (Alipay, WeChat, etc.);
  • gems and add-ons are charged per their own descriptions;
  • already-used portions (generated clips, used chat quota) are non-refundable.

6. Refunds

If something won't work, or you were charged twice, reach us via "Settings → Feedback" in the app — we'll help per the rules of your payment channel.

7. What you may not do

  • crack, reverse-engineer, or bypass payment / entitlement checks;
  • use the product to publish illegal, harassing, infringing or improper content;
  • disrupt the service, or abuse APIs / inflate metrics.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

8. Intellectual property

Mochi's software, built-in characters, design and trademarks are ours. The photos you upload and the "your real pet" content generated from them are yours; you grant us the right to process them as needed to provide the service.

9. Provided "as is"

We do our best to keep the product stable and available, but don't promise zero downtime or zero flaws. If the service is interrupted, we'll restore it as soon as we can. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using the product.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. For important changes, we'll notify you in the app or on the site. Continuing to use Mochi means you accept the updated terms.
